I chose this song because most of the people living in my neighborhood don't leave their homes unless it is absolutely necessary. This is causing most people to feel like they are trapped inside of a panic room. Some had become so accustomed to going out constantly, and aren't used to being home for this long. In a way this pandemic has helped most of these people become more active. They are constantly out going for walks with their dogs, or jogging around. The song talks about not just being able to cry wolf. With Covid-19 not being something that can just be called off, it just feeds into the overall panic.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I personally, haven't really been outside. The song mentions during the bridge "silence is so loud". This really puts the typical day in quarantine into one phrase. Normally i'm overthinking something minor just because I have time to do so. This is song is great to play in the background while working on art work, homework, or just chilling. That's why I chose this song. Enjoy!

  2. The song that i chose to help me get through this time is called "Oceans" by Hillsong United. It is such a powerful song because the message being it is basically never give up and to keep going. During this time it is important to hep one another through this pandemic. Many people are worried ans some are running out of supplies. At first IO did panic but when i listed to this this it calmed me. I no longer felts overwhelmed.
It was like a spiritual moment and the song truly touched me. Me and my family have gotten a lot closer and we spend a lot of time together. This pandemic has shown us what we have been missing, like precious moments and time with family. Its a short song but has a big message that i feel like can uplift anyone during this pandemic. I hope you like this song!

  3. “He’s got the whole world, in his hands, he’s got the whole world in his hands.” This song has been one of the most uplifting during this pandemic. The sweet melody is very simple yet effective. Sometimes we must realize it’s not about how ”good” the song sounds but more so the lyrics that touch us.

Last week, Lorna Breen, chair of the emergency medicine department at NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, died from suicide after being so overwhelmed with the tasks at hand. I believe that this song would have brought so much light into her life. Psalms 23:4 shows us that: although we go through some of the roughest times, WE GO THROUGH THOSE TIMES WITH GOD. The beautiful thing about the one we serve is—he promised never to leave us nor forsake us. A rod for protection and a staff for guidance.

  4. The song I have chosen that expresses how I feel about the pandemic is 'The Battle is Not Yours' by Yolanda Adams'. Specifically referencing the part of the song that says,"There is no pain, Jesus can't feel. There is no hurt, that He can't heal. For all things work, According to the masters purpose, And his holy will..." This phrase brings me reassurance in knowing that God has healing powers and protective powers that can shield or heal us from any hurt, harm, or danger that may come our way as a result of Covid-19. Unlike many people online and in the grocery stores, my household does not have the usual hysteria regarding the pandemic. We know that ultimately God is in control and its in his hands.
The next phrase ,"No matter what you're going through, remember that God is only using you. For the battle is not yours its the Lord's.." reminds me of something my mama said regarding the pandemic. "There are casualties in this war between good and evil." As a christian I've learned that there are some things that God permits to happen even though sometimes it doesn't make sense to us. At the end of the day all the glory will go back to God and reflect his will. This song, for me, has been very encouraging and calming in this time of confusion of hysteria throughout the world.

  5. " No weapon formed against me shall prosper, it won't work." This song has been very inspiring to me during this time. The meaning of this song, makes me realize no matter how many obstacles the devil throws at us, God will demolish it.
When they announced about corona and how everything was going to be closed, I panicked. Like what sickness keeps everyone home, spread rapidly, and killing many people. When I read my bible, listen to gospel music, and pray. I wasn't overwhelmed anymore. In my heart, I feel like this sickness is temporary and will go away if people stay quarantined. I hope you enjoy the song!

I chose this inspiring song because it uplifts everyone. It tells everyone that they're bigger than any obstacle, in this case it is COVID-19. This song is uplifting to everyone that is going through having the virus, people being affected by it, and people that are having to be quarantined because of it. Although it is a religious song, I think it will inspire the part of the population that does believe in Christ. During this horrible time, it encourages people to keep going and that it will eventually get better.
The song has an amazing message that encouraged me to just keep doing what I need to do and keep looking on to the future. The song is telling people that they are bigger than the universe and the problems they face which is saying that they can overcome anything if they turn to Jesus about it. My mother and I listened to this song and it definitely gave us the push we needed. This is also a great song because of the melody of the song and the passion the singer is putting into it which goes great together. I am starting to love this song because of the reassurance that it is giving me about everything going to be ok and I think this song would be a great motivation for people battling with Coronavirus.

The song that I chose is "Bored in the House(Remix)" by Curtis Roach and Tyga. Even though it's not the traditional uplifting song it has truly got me through this tough time. The reason I chose this sog is because everytime I hear this song it makes you forget about all the bad things that have been going around since the COVID19 came out. It first started as a TikTok but then Tyga put his flavor on it, I've been hooked ever since.

When the beat drops you would already be up dancing and having a good time with it. It's more of a song that makes you forget what's really going on around the world now. It talks about himself being bored while in the house but it makes you feel better about being in the house not being able to do anything. It's very funny which makes it perfect to get up and dance and enjoy the situation that you are.

  8. I chose "Don't Cry" because it is such an inspiring song especially during the pandemic. From my understanding of this song it tells people don't cry because everything will be alright because he has risen and he is going to dry our tears. I feel like this is a good song during this pandemic because a lot of people are stressed and worried. Although this is a religious song I feel like this song can be used to help people get out of hard times and learn about the gospel. Inspiration is the most important thing that is needed during COVID-19 because without inspiration negative things will start occurring.
This song just speaks a lot of volume and whenever listening to it especially while feeling alone during this pandemic it is way of comfort. The dynamics in this song are really strong all of the parts are heard and they had great articulation at some parts. Choosing this song and listening to it daily is just a reminder that everything will be okay and there is no need to cry. Even though this pandemic feels like a hard battle to fight just listening to the song is a way of reassurance. This song is constant motivation because it helps me power through this pandemic. Hopefully this horrible virus will be over eventually and everything will go back to normal, but until then I will have this song to keep me motivated.

  9. the song I chose is "War Cry" by Queen Naija. I chose this song because the Lyrics ring true with all that is going on with COVID-19. "Our people are dying slowly everyday" is so true right now. Everyday you turn on the news you see that more and more People have died. Queens melodic voice tells the the story of the life we are living.

"War Cry" goes on to expresshow our need for materialistic things are taking over our minds. The government is so focused on ending the stay at home order so they can boost the economy. The economy will survive, but will we survive? Like Queens ballad states." we gotta fight, we gotta fight." We must press on and stay Home to stay alive. Queen's song is very amazing. It speaks truth about what is happening in the world right now. The song also has a very pretty melody.

i chose the song happy because even though the world is going through a lot right now I have been happy lately. During this time I have been able to focus on myself and better myself lately. I have been able to realize new things I have interests in, friends who really actually cared for me and stayed in touch. I am using this time as time off from everything.
This song i chose is also a very uplifting song and has a catchy tune. This song would be a good for someone with this virus because I believe this would uplift them although they have the virus. This song reminds to be happy with everything that is going on. This is a good time for us all to try and focus on ourselves and ensure that we don’t contract this virus at all.

"Praise is what I do" by William Murphy has been a gospel favorite of mines for a long time. I think it's important that we as his believers should keep him, our God in the midst of these tough times. This is a opportunity to build a relationship with him and to allow him to guide us. Praise is what we should be giving him all the time not only when we are going through something. This song is very hopeful and allows you to witness the great works of God. Amid COVID-19 I hope everyone is taking the necessary precautions to keep themselves and others safe. I wish for everyone to be healthy and well.

I've been great lately considering the fact that there is a virus going around. I hope that everyone comes out of this a better person because taking the time for self reflection is very needed. We should all give thanks to health care workers who risk their lives on a daily basis to battle this virus. I think that this song will put people in the mindset of knowing that we all need God and prayer always works. It encourages us to remain strong and to know that this won't last forever. God is in the midst of us keeping us here and keeping us well.

"God Only Knows" by for KING & COUNTRY ft Dolly Parton is the song I chose because only God Knows what will happen to us all during this hard time. God knows how to handle this COVID-19 outbreak that we are having. He will hold us and keep us safe. In the song they say "God only knows what you've been through I think for this time we are going through God only Knows how we are all handling it. It true that God only knows what we are going through. I think keeping him close always especially through these harsh time will help us make it through. God will know what to do to us and he will protect us during this time.

This song is very soft and relaxing. This song just makes you happy because it is telling you that God knows your struggle and he will help. God knows what is happening to all these poor people and families who are suffering from COVID-19. My grandmother and I love this song so much. WE love this song because we know that God knows and can handle anything. This song makes us feel safe and covered. I love Dolly Parton and i think this one of her best songs. This song lets us know that God Knows our struggle and he will take care of us. There is no love like the love we receive from God and he only knows how to help us all. I love this song and it really helps me when I am worried having a bad day because of COVID-19.

  13. A song that has helped me through this pandemic is "For Every Mountain" by Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr singers. I have listened to this song at least twice everyday. This song is very uplifting in all times but especially in a time like this.It basically tells us that through every trial, trouble, and tough time God will see us through.

This song helps me because it reminds me that God will see us through this time. Even while people are struggling financially and with deaths God will see us through. The energy of this song and the emotion in this song is unmatched for me. This song just makes me feel safe and brings a sense of comfort during this pandemic.

This is the song that I have been listening to to help through this pandemic. The song is called "Ninety" by Jaden Smith. I have been listening to this song because it gives me reassurance. Listening to this song helps me think more so in the way that the pandemic is bad right now but there is going to be brighter days when it is all over. Also, it makes me anxious for when it is over so I can go out.
If you listen to the song then you would think the lyrics have nothing to do with the pandemic. But part of the reason why I love this song so much is because of all the instruments contributed in this song. Also I really love the background vocals and and the background sound. Listening to all the extra added sounds puts me in a trance. I love how everything just blends together.

The song i chose is "Promises" by Maverick City (feat. Joe L Barnes & Naomi Raine). This song is truly a blessing all around. honestly the whole album is amazing and i have been listening to the whole thing on repeat since it dropped. i love it because it speaks of how God always keeps his promises to you and everyone. It helps reinforce my faith or just my foundation on where i stand with God in these trying times.
i love how you can really hear the percussion accompaniment in the beginning. The soloists use a really clear tone and you can hear every word they are saying, the articulation is amazing. I also really enjoy how in the start of the song they start off kind of quiet and then towards the end or towards the chorus you can hear a crescendo in there. Another thing about this song that i really love is the lyrics. i don't really listen to music that doesn't have meaning or at least a good one. i love music that tells a story but most of all i love music that talks about God. Two of my favorite lines from the song are, "Though the storms may come and the winds may blow i remain steadfast, and let my heart learn when you speak a word it will come to pass." and " From the rising sun to the setting same i will praise your name".

  16. A song that has helped me through the quarantine is "Level of Concern" by twenty one pilots. This song is based on the pandemic and what everyone is going through. The song is about being concerned for the world and being stuck inside, but we make the most out of the situation. This song gives me assurance that its okay to be concerned and that we are going to be alright. Eventually, this will all be over.
The song starts off with a moderate tempo and with nice acoustics. He has nice pitches and the pitch is very uplifting. By the middle of the song, the tempo has picked up and he has home videos playing. I really like the background vocals. Its a really fun and positive song. Thats why I chose this song.

The song I chose was "Better Days" by Le'Andria Johnson . This song is very uplifting as the mast famous line is better days are coming and that relates to life at the moment. Listening to this song gives me reassurance that the virus will go away and that better days will be coming. This song basically tells us that through every trial, trouble, and tough time God will see us through. I am starting to love this song because of the reassurance that it is giving me about everything going to be ok and I think this song would be a great motivation for people battling with Coronavirus.

If you listen to the song you will know that it somewhat relates to the pandemic that is going on right now .This is song is great to play in the background while working on art work, homework, or just chilling. And I really love the melody. We sang this song so you already know it

The song I chose was "Count On ME" by Bruno Mars. The reason I chose this song, because it sends a very positive message. It is saying that no matter how hard things get you can always have someone to depend on. Having someone to depend on during times like this is very imperative. We must be able to trust one another to do the right thing to, like washing our hands and protecting ourselves, to come out on the other side of this. This song talks about being there for others that are in need no matter what. Just like in the song we have to do that same exact thing. We should be helping those that are less fortunate than we are. We should be giving to those that just don't have the resources that we have.

This song is an example of how we should be living our lives anyway. It shouldn't take for a pandemic to bring people together. We should always be looking for ways to come together and help each other out. In my opinion, that's what makes us human. Realizing that we are in trouble, and having the strength to ask for help from others

The song that has been helping me throughout quarantine is "The Lord Will Make a Way Somehow" by Hezekiah Walker. This song says that the lord will make a way no matter what the circumstances God will make a way. This song shows how even though we are going through a pandemic God will help us through this tough time. I think that this song reassures me that God is bigger than the virus and can heal. The song says all the things God can do and will do.

I like this song and I have known about it for years. My grandmother used to sing this song so it is very special to me. The is upbeat and helps me cheer up in this time of despair and hard times. The song helps me realize that even though we are battling the Coronavirus, God will make a way and we will not be in this pandemic forever.Even though times are hard we just need courage and faith that God will bring us through it.

  20. This virus is crazy. Covid 19 is affecting so many pople, but it is all negative. Whether people are getting sick or losing their jobs. Anytime times are tough songs and music can always help to push through. I know for sure it helps me.

The song I chose is Incredible God, Incredible Praise. This is a gospel song but it is so hype. The drums in this song is what really carries the tempo and rythum. The lyrics are relatable because it states how God delivers us from problems big and small. The call and reponse towards the end is so uplifting, and how the song is always in forte just turns your whole attidue and mood into a better one.

  21. The song I chose is “Better Days” by Le’Andria Johnson because of the song’s lyrics. I feel that in this time of the Coronavirus, where people are dying, losing their jobs, losing their businesses and being separated from one another, this song reassures you that better days are coming. All we need to do as a whole is just hold on and never give up. And, no matter how hard times can get there is always a brighter tomorrow. This song is so uplifting and the meaning behind the lyrics can be interpreted in so many different ways. It shows that when you have hope you can overcome anything.

This song has a very soulful feel to it and that is why I believe this is a great song to listen to and really take in every lyric and adlib. Although times have been rough as a result of COVID-19 and being separated from the ones we love this song to me can also be a lesson to not take seeing your loved ones for granted. The overall message of this song is to keep hope alive because on the other side of our current situation the grass is greener. The song in general is great and is an amazing song and it can be used in many different circumstances. In the end this song gives hope and reassurance that better days are coming and once this virus goes away noone has no excuse to not spend more time with the ones they love.

  22. The song that has been getting me through this pandemic is “Better” by Hezekiah Walker. Specifically, the song reads “ You’re confused, but don’t worry your soul. It will get better cause God is in control.” My interpretation of this song would be to leave all of your confusion and worry with God and he will handle the situation. You will begin to feel better once you put your trust in God and let him take control. The meaning behind this song drives me to continue to face the pandemic with strength and positivity. While listening to this song, I no longer feel weak or useless because it reminds me that the situation is out of my control and I can only handle how I react. This song also reminds me to pray for those who have lost hope and believe that this situation will never get better.
Although the meaning behind the song is very powerful, the musical elements used to create it plays a key role in the success of the song. The song begins with an uplifting drum beat followed by a piano and bass sound. The instruments encourage the audience to stand up and rejoice to its glorious audio. In addition, the choir’s vocals were well balanced and very precise. There were also very nice harmonies and the choir followed through nicely after ad libs. Overall, this song has brought me peace and joy throughout this pandemic so far and I will continue to listen to it after the pandemic.

  23. The song I chose for this quarantine blog post is “Rise Up” by Andra Day. This is a very popular song that’s used for uplifting feature stories on the news and can also be heard at vigils after a honoring those that were lost during a time of tragedy. Songs like these are what we need during this global pandemic as the global death toll has surpassed millions in the past couple of months. But even though we are going through an extremely tough time and social distancing is pushing some of us to our limits, we will rise.

Towards the end of the song, Andra sings, “all we need is hope, and for that we have each other.” All we need is hope and to use our best judgement when it comes to staying in good health to pull through this pandemic. The runs she hits throughout the song remind me of the up and down stories on the news that range from good news to heartbreaking news. But we have each other to lean on during this. I also like how she used a piano as her accompaniment to keep the attention focused on her voice and her message.

I chose "Turn to Him" sang by Crystal Aikin. Through these trying times, we must remember that God is always in control and has the final say. That is why we should turn to Him. All of the instruments from the cymbals to the guitar, from the saxophone to the drums, all bring the song to life to really minister. Crystal is an incredible singer with an extremely strong and melodic soprano voice. The whole self titled album that this song comes from is amazing! It talks about how great God is and how much he deserves all of our praise, especially when the going gets tough.

"When I'm lost and confused, And I don't have a clue, When I've heard some bad news, That's when I turn to Him, When I can't start my day, Or forgot in the way, When I'm out on a limb, That's when I turn to Him" These lyrics speak reassurance that God will never leave nor forsake us and we can always trust in Him. This season of quarantine has allowed me to think about many things and be productive. I pray that everyone is striving to use this time to rest but also use it to their advantage. Sometimes we just need to slow down and figure things out instead of rushing day to day with a monotonous schedule. Stay safe and be encouraged.

  26. The song I chose is Lonely Child by NBA Youngboy. This song has helped me so much through pandemic because there is nothing to do instead of doing school work and staying at home. I am not saying that doing school work and staying at home is a bad thing it just gets boring after a while. This song brings memories of my classmates, teachers, and family members. I do not know how long this pandemic will be, but I know by believing in God it will not be that long.
The hook of the song I like how youngboy decrescendo and crescendo. I also like how the beat blended with his voice. His tone and diction were excellent to me. At the end of the song he was harmonizing and you can feel the emotions. In conclusion, this is why is I chose this song.

  27. During this period we all need a little inspiration and what’s better than a song to uplift and get us through the day.The song I chose is "I Smile" by Kirk Franklin. I chose this song because it gives a beautiful message . It states that even though things are looking down, smile because the Lord will work out all our problems . Also , the song basically makes you want to smile while listening . At this moment in time , we all need to stay positive. I understand that the epidemic has made a drastic impact on our lives but this could be a perfect time for us to spend time with our families and learn new skills.
“I Smile “ is an all around upbeat song that can bring anyone happiness. The melody and rhythm of the song gives a happy vibe that makes you want to sing and dance your heart out. From my observations on social media music has become an amazing way for people to cope. Also , a fun way to bring everyone together during this troubling time. I’m praying that this will all be over soon so everyone can go back to their normal lives.

  28. Isaiah 26:3 states “ You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you”. During this time of COVID-19 and quarantine, the song Perfect Peace by Marvin Sapp helps me get though this time. During this time, along of people don’t realize that the real reason for this quarantine, besides lowering the spread of COVID-19, is to get closer with God. People, including myself, tended to have many distractions and gave less time to God. But, because there are no distractions, I found myself reading the bible and praying more.

I chose the song Perfect Peace by Marvin Sapp because of the message it delivers. This song simply says that the Lord will give perfect peace to those whose mind is stayed on him. This really helps me during this tome of COVID-19 because it shows me that I have nothing to worry about because my heart is focused and stayed on the Lord. This song calms me everytime I play it. The crescendos of the choir choir sound so sweet and all together. This song moves my spirit in ways I can’t explain.

  29. The song I chose is Oh lord I want you to help me by Cheryl Pepsi Riley. The song is an uplifting spiritual song that is sung with so much passion and power it’s amazing. It’s been getting through this pandemic because it’s basically a cry out for help. It’s saying if you go to God he will get you through what you are going through.

The alto soloist was powerful with her part just because of the fact that the song is so powerful and uplifting. The male soloist voice was made for the song he emitted tso much strength, emotion and power through his song that it was just amazing. The ensemble behind the soloists were loud and articulate making it blend perfectly. And the fact that it was acapella made it even more sickening in a good way.

  30. The song I chose is Same God (If He Did It Before) by Tye Tribbet. This song is a strong reminder that if God has done it before he will surly do it again. During this pandemic people's spirits have been very low and some feel so very hopeless during this time.

Encouragement and prayer is very needed at this time for ourselves and people who do not have the strength to do it for themselves . This song is very up tempo and puts you in a great mood for a much so needed message that "If he did it before he will do it again." We need to be constantly reminded that we will get through this if we keep pushing happiness and encouragement through each other.

  31. The song I chose is "Won't He Do It" by Koryn Hawthorne. I chose this song because even though we are going through this pandemic about COVID-19, God will fight our battles for us. In the song, Koryn says that "Felt so bad I thought I would die. But ain't no power stronger than the one that came and laid down his for me." Even though many people have died and others feel like they are going to die from COVID-19, the only thing that is stronger than this Corona Virus is God. God's power can and will destroy this obstacle in all of our lives.

Another thing she says is "See what the enemy had planned for my downfall. Turned out to be the greatest victory of my life." We can all come out better and stronger at the end of this pandemic if we lean on God. God is the source of everyone's strength so he will do what is right to help everyone during this pandemic. Even though we pray that more people will not die, more people probably will and all we can do is lean on God because he will show up during this time of need.

  32. The song that puts me in a good mood during these hard times is "Sunset Lover" by Petite Biscuit. It is a very simple yet pretty instrumental song and it has this calming feel to it. Usually the songs that I listen to are not really considered uplifting. I only like a song if it has a good instrumental background or if it has lyrics that hit home to me. Most of my favorite songs either has no lyrics or close to none and this is because the music itself makes me feel things and the singer along with the lyrics are additions to make the song better. With Sunset Lover, I have an emotional attachment to it because of the memories that it brings back when I listen to it.
When I listen to this song I feel all my memories of how things were before all of this quarantine and corona virus happened. All the fun times that I have had with my friends and just being able to go places I took for granted. Not only does this song make me feel nostalgic it makes me feel at ease. As if everything is going to be okay and I have nothing to worry about. I hope that this will all be over soon and that the situation that we are in will not become our "new normal."

  33. The song I've chosen to help me through this pandemic is Better days by D-aye. I have chosen this song because it gives a different approach on how life can be hard but at the end of the day things will get better. It also tells how people have been through harder situations and have still made it through. I like this song mostly because of the lyrics to the song. It has always got me through by reminding me that nothing last forever and I will be ok at the end of the day.

I chose Blessed & Highly Favored by the Clark Sisters because we are blessed to be alive during this time. God has spared us life, although many have not survive but we have been granted another chance. In the song it says " it coulda' been me, it shoulda' been me,it woulda' been me if it wasn't for the blood." This line basically means that if we we're not covered by the blood of Jesus we could be in a bad predicament. I like this song because I think about how I could have been gone and have not experienced anything I have. I could have Covid-19 if I was not covered by the blood of Jesus. We are guaranteed to survive this pandemic if we keep our trust in God and we continue to believe.
In the song you are truly surprised by how these ladies are able to hold their notes and how they remember their parts. You could never tell that they have been through so much. When they sing it just touch my soul because I have a lot of built up emotions and just by listening to their songs help me. I'm grateful that God have given me the chance to survive this pandemic.

I chose the song Rise up by Andra Day because it is important to know that all of the doctors and the scientists working on finding cures and fighting back COVID-19. This is a very important time in everyone's lives because this virus if affecting businesses and commerce throughout the country. Secondly, The virus is killing many elderly people and is slowly creeping up on a younger demographic. It doesn't help that our president is yet still trying to reopen beaches and golf courses, when in actuality the U.S is the leader in coronavirus cases. The song rise up by Andra Day personally gives me hope for a better future because the times we are in right now is very hectic and a horrible time to be alive. The song rise up features Andra Day who has an amazing voice and talent. She sings about rising up like the day and constantly rising up. Thsi song encourages me that we can make it through covid-19 and any other things that might stand in our way.

  36. The selection I chose is "We Are The World" by Michael Jackson. The world we live in is going through a lot right now and there doesn't seem to be much hope for the near future. This song actually may help to comfort those who feel this way. As we all know, there are several Covid-19 cases here in the United States and everything seems to be going down hill. Governors in several states are making the decision to re-open the cities back up and allow the citizens to go back to living normal lives. Trump isn't making things any better because all he cares about is the economy, not the lives of American citizens.

In this song there are great dynamics, making it more intriguing to listen to. The background chorus did a great job at accompanying Michael. In the song, he mentions that there are people dying which is exactly what is going on in our world today. Thousands of people have sadly lost their lives due to Covid-19. Many families are struggling while some were lucky enough to still have jobs during this pandemic. Many people are struggling with mental health and due to the circumstances cannot always seek help. These are trying times we are living in and the best thing we can do is have positivity that the world will heal one day. Michael also mentions making it a better place for the many generations to come.
