  1. Unbreak my heart my Tony Braxton I think would be an excellent song for pops! It was very popular during its time and is still very popular today. It is a great song with wonderful, poetic, meaningful lyrics. It also has a very catchy tune. Even though it is a slow song it is sung with so much emotion. I believe if the RIGHT person sung it, it would've been excellent for pops.

  2. Beat it by Michael Jackson would be a great song for POPS. Not only because it would've topped off the whole Michael Jackson
vibe at the end. Also, because it would've added one of the world's most loved song to the awesome list before. This song would be sung with the entire choir of course. So their would needed choreography to make it interesting. This would've been an great song to add to the list for POPS.

  4. If you look at my reply to Mia Carr, you know that my song is Bad, also by Michael Jackson. It is pop that will probably never die. Here is the link:

Yes, it is an 18 minute video that has a scene surrounding the song. I don't like the 14 minute video for Thriller. This one, however, is one that I am willing to watch because Michael argues with his friends and wins. But that is all I'm going to say about it.

  5. I have nothing by Whitney Houston would've been a great songs for POPS. Not only is it one of the greatest song by her, but because she was very well known before and after her death. This song would as been like I Wanna Know What Love Is, with some of us standing and sitting down and getting really into the song.

  6. I felt like we should've done an upbeat song like I Wanna Dance by the late Whitney Houston for POPS. This song will probably be remembered as one of the most beloved love songs ever. It would've had the same effect as Thriller for the crowd wise and, be a nice cheerful song for the choir.

  7. A song that would've been appropriate for POPS back in September is " Human Nature" by Michael Jackson. Just saying Michael Jackson's name is legendary in itself. Michael's music lives on forever and even though he has so many great songs something about this one sticks out to me. The soft instruments and Michael's mesmerizing voice you can't help but sing along and sway back and forth. It is a tear jerker for many, myself included and it is song that people have memories too and will remember until they pass. This is what makes this selection a great choice.

  8. A song that would've been great for POPS is "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. This song was very popular during its time and its still popular today. This song is so popular that a lot of people can determine the song just from the first few chords, and almost everyone knows at least some part of this song. This song is very catchy and upbeat and would've been fun for POPS and even for choreography.

  10. Another song I would've done for POPS is "Fire We Make" by Alicia Keys and Maxwell. The song is very sensual and emotional in a sense. I believe that the harmony would've been a really great edition to the show as an entirety. I would've done it but.... that's not the point. :)

  11. A song that we could have done for Pops was Black or White by Michael Jackson. It is an upbeat song and it would be a positive message in this current environment. The vocals and the choreography as well makes it a fun song for us to sing. Although we did not sing this song, I think that the selection we had was good. Although it would have been great for us to do this song.

  12. A song we could have done for POPS was "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson. We would have had good vocals. We would have had good choreography too. Most people already know the song, so we could have just added harmony on some parts. All in all, this would have been a good song to do.

  13. For pops this year a great song to perform would have been "I Wanna Dance With Somebody". This song is so upbeat that it's kind of hard to not want to dance when it comes on. Whitney Houston's incredible vocals adds more flavor to the liveliness of the song. It embodies the 80's vibes. This will always be one of my favorite songs by her.

  15. For POPS a song that would have been really good for someone to perform would have been "I Look To You" by the one and only Whitney Houston. I just think this song is one of my favorites by her because of how smooth her voice is. I believe that she is one of the best vocally talented people ever to perform, and this song was really meant for her. If you listen to the lyrics of this song and remember the things she went through in her life you understand where she was coming from. This is just a song that can calm you down and help you if you ever want to listen to something that can give you strength. I think the soft piano along with the strong vocals of the song really tie in together to make the lyrics sound ten times better. This will be song that I listen to whenever I want to.

  16. A song I thought we could’ve done for this year’s POP Concert is semi-well know . The song is” 5 Steps” by Dru Hill. This song has great and fairly simple harmony. The movements for it could be as complex as you make it. It’s a slow song but has so much meaning. The lyrics are good and the young men that sing them are even better. Maybe sometime in the future we can consider this song.

  18. A song we could have done for POPS would’ve been “Can you stand the rain” by New Edition. It’s not much choreography that we could’ve done for this song, but the harmony would’ve been amazing! This is still somewhat a very popular song and a song that most people know already. This song would also sound great if we were to do it a cappella. All in all, I believe this would’ve been a great song to sing and that we should do it next year.

  19. POPS is one of my favorite performances out of the year. A song I really would have enjoyed doing is "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. I feel that in our choir we have very good soloists that could pull it out. It is a very well know song and would most likely be easy to learn. I love Whitney and she is definitely a legend.

  20. POPS was a very fun and creative concert that I am glad I had a chance to participate in. One song that we could have did in a fun, spunky manner was "Candy Girl" by New Edition. This song would have been full of energy and great choreography. And would have had the crowd dancing in their chairs.

  22. The song I chose is Soldier by Destiny's Child. I think this song would have been good in our medley. I was planning on doing Lil wayne part if we had did it. The reason I wanted his part is because I wanted to do the "call her breezy b baby, please say the baby" part. I swear that whole song would've been lit, and gave the show the little more light.

  23. POPS concert is one of my favorite performances out of the year. We also have a lot of time for bonding as a choir during practice. Anyway I chose the song " Black or White" by Michael Jackson. I absolutely think the choir will kill this song point blank period. Plus the song has a really good message and people should know the song as well.

  25. In my opinion "We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey would have been a great song choice for the POPS concert in September. This song was legendary. The emotion of the song is not only felt through the lyrics but also through the instruments used to create the song. I've loved this song since I was little and will continue to love it as I mature and begin to understand it more.

  26. Stevie Wonder is one of the best soul singers I have ever heard. One of my favorite songs that he has ever performed and could have been performed in the POPS concert is " I Wish". I love that song because it always gets me in a dancing mood and makes me happy. This songs reminds me of my elementary days when I wish could go back and actually live life. I hope you enjoy this performance!

  27. The song I chose is Michael Jackson Rock with you. I love this song. I like the rhythm of the song. It's sound is smooth and slow, but still has a little beat to it. The song is legendary and also he is. The little beat drop, "I want to rock with you... all night" is my favorite part. This song is one of my favorites of his music.
