This week's blog post requires you to find a piece of music that would be appropriate for a party. Since Halloween is approaching and some people are getting ready to have parties, I felt it would be appropriate to do party music themed posts. Please make sure that the songs you choose are appropriate for school and do not contain any profanity or explicit language. Check your posts for correct grammar, spelling, and nor errors. All posts are due by October 20, 2017 at 11:59 PM. No late posts are accepted. Please check your post to make sure that it has posted if you would like to receive credit for the assignment.
Sample song:
The song I chose to do as a party song was the challenge JuJu on the beat by Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall. I chose this song because just about every party I go to, we play this song plus many more dance challenges. I personal think that this is one of the best challenges that has ever been made because people still do it till this day, whereas other dance challenges are rarely done.

The song The Weekend by Sza could be a great party song. Only because it's that one song everyone keeps singing. Of course that's what your trying to achieve as a DJ.You would normally choose stuff that everyone listens to. Also, at a party you want to try to relate to what the listener would like. I honestly don't believe just because it's Halloween you have to play songs that's scary. All in all, this song would be excellent for a Halloween.

Though it's not a traditional Halloween song i feel like "If it Isn't Love" by New Edition would be an amazing song. Most people are familiar with the song, or at least the group. This song is a great choice to start a party because whether you're 35 or 7 ou can listen too this song and have a great time.

A song that is perfect for Halloween is "Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell. It is perfect for Halloween and is an 80's classic. It's is a song you automaticly get up and dance to and it has a creepy vibe that is to match. This song is the best of both worlds and it's a song I really enjoy. I know whenever it comes on I am one of the first to head to the dance floor.

The party themed song I chose is "Find me" by Marshmello. It is definitely not Halloween themed but it's quite interesting to party people. This song is a very upbeat song with a really cool beat and tempo to it. It should immediately grasp your attention when viewing it. The purpose of this song is about a guy who seems to not be able to "fit in with the crowd" and every time he tries everyone pushes him away. It's hard for them to find his true inner coolness. When he opens up with his own personality and talent as DJ everyone sees him as the life of the party "The litty piggy". Enjoy!!

The song I chose that would be perfect for a party is "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang. Now I know it's and old songs but it's so catchy! You can't help but get up and dance when you hear the word "celebrate!" The lyrics say "There's a party going on right here"....This song is guaranteed to get the party 'groove" going!

The song I chose is a classic by the name of "Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy!". This song was published in 1994 by the famous Australian music group, The Wiggles. This piece is very upbeat and lively. On top of that the song promotes good eating habits while having fun. This song will always be one of my favorites:)

Fruit Salad, Yummy, Yummy! Fruit Salad, Yummy, Yummy! Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy! Fruit Salad! Let's make a fruit salad today (uh-uh-huh!) It's fun to do in a healthy way (uh-uh huh!)...
DeleteYes, I was a HUGE Wiggles fan, and a LOT of people (adults included) are.

The song I chose is "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO. This song is upbeat, but makes you wanna dance. This song makes you wanna have a good time. This song is one my favorites and will always be.

The song I chose is Bodak Yellow by Cardi B, the clean version though. Even though I HIGHLY doubt the clean version will ever be played, but the clean version still lit. When you listen to the clean version it still get the point across. This is a good party song because it's like everybody got a reflex when this song comes on. When that "Sad Little.." come on everybody getting up. This is an anthem that will last forever. My sis made history.

Why do a song that en NEEDS a clean version? Which is what I was having trouble with... a lot of the songs mentioned I knew, but I didn't know that they were considered party songs.

Translation: I knew of Jordan Rhodes', Jamelle Hall's, Amelia Edwards', and Zeniah Lee's chosen songs, but I didn't know that they were party songs (except maybe Party Rock Anthem)

HELP ME!!!!! My family is trying to make me do songs that I want to have nothing to do with! What do I do? I've looked almost everywhere but couldn't find what I wanted (not country, rap, *new* s*BLEEP*, not Disney, absolutely no profanity of any kind, not whatever my family is trying to have me do, you get the idea). Does anyone have any suggestions that meet my requirements? (My sister says "Fallout Boy", my mom is suggesting funk, country, and other whatnot that is totally unrelated to what I am doing, my brother {Ben} suggests something from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic {yes, when we have the opportunity to, we [me included] watch it}, and my brother {Mike} isn't suggesting anything except that I give him a computer turn, which I'm not going to do until I have my homework done). If anyone has any ideas, please find a way to contact me.

I'm about to start naming songs that are supposed to calm cats... Spook's Ditty; Cozmo's Air; Rusty's Ballad; Lolo's Air; Scooter Bere's Aria; Tigerlili and Mimi's Mewsical; and Simon Says are some songs that are meant for cats, but have no (human) words in them
Delete-Scott Williams-
My personal favorite of these songs is Lolo's Air (yes, I did what I don't normally do, so this is very rare). Listen to these songs and you might find out why. (Maybe I'm secretly a cat! If you come across a cat that is trying to talk to you, I will be EXTREMELY useful, seeing as I can translate what they're saying and speak back to them {I used to, but then my voice got too low... I can still teach you the language, though. Translation: you make sounds that you hear your cat make, and I'll tell you what you said [if you said anything]. I was trying to teach my brother [Nathan], but he is in Iowa [NOT Idaho or Ohio or Indiana or wherever else you guys said]. So if you want to learn to talk to your pet cat, come to me.}) However, I don't think my cat likes music because she wasn't really paying any attention to these songs.

A song I believe would be great for a party is "Something Just Like This" by Coldplay. It has many components that make it suitable to be played at a party. Not only is the beat set at a tempo that makes it easy to dance to, the lyrics are also repetitive allowing people who aren't familiar with the song to catch on quickly. I personally really like this song and dance in my seat each time I hear it. It's one of my favorites.

The song I chose is Party by Beyonce featuring J. Cole. I chose this song because of the beat and the lyrics in it. The beat of the song make you rock and bob your head. I would call the beat hypnotizing. Beyonce and J. Cole collabing was the best idea. Basically, the lyrics are very catchy, but by now everyone should know the whole song from memory now and the beat has a way of making you like get hype out of no where and just start snapping and dancing. The song is a slow, up beat kind of song that would be good for a party.

The song I chose was G.O.A.T. by Eric Bellinger . I chose this song because all the girls think of themselves when they hear this song including me. G.O.A.T. basically means "Greatest Of All Time". When I instantly hear this song I start dancing thats why I think this is a good party song.

The song I chose for this weeks blog post was "Tootsee Roll" by the 69 Boyz. The reason I chose this song is because I feel as if it's the real definition of a party song.Although this song is old, whenever they play it at parties a different vibe enters the room because it was once a popular song, The song was originally composed in the 90s for the 90s babies to party but moved to the 2000s because it's such a great song. I feel as if this is the best song that could ever be played at a party because of that specific reason.

The party music I picked was “Rake it up” by Yo Gotti ft. Nicki Minaj. Now of course it had to be the clean version, but I picked this song because it’s what everybody’s singing right now. Whenever I go to a party, this song is always played even though it’s not the clean version. As soon as this song comes on, everybody is jumping up and down singing “RAKE IT UP, RAKE IT UP, RAKE IT UP”. I just feel like my sis Nicki went off in this song, but I love this song because it gets me dancing.

The party song I chose is "First Day Out" by Tee Grizzley. Almost every party you go to, they play this song and everybody will be singing along to it. The first verse of the song builds up to a part in the song that everyone waits to get hype on. I remember when it first came out everyone would be listening to it and it became a song that was overplayed, but people still enjoyed listening to. It isn't played as much as it used to be (besides at parties), but every once in a while you hear someone play it. I think this song makes people feel kind of hood because of the beat and when you start singing the lyrics you really start getting into it. This song really brings the hood out of everyone.

I love party type songs that get everyone hyped up. The song I chose is “No Limit” by G-Eazy, Cardi B, and A$ap Rocky. This song is newer but it is on my playlist for the morning. It has a nice beat and a easy chorus. I also just like money so any songs about money I will most likely like it. I also love that Cardi B is on the song because she is one of my favorite rappers.

The song that I chose this week was "I Like the Way You Move" by OutKast, because I'm an old lady at heart. I don't care what kind of party I'm at, if this song comes on, I'm going to start dancing. The song is so catchy and smooth. The way he raps the verses so quick and smooth, like he is talking, is good. This song will forever be a BOP.

The song I choose is "It's Getting in Here" by Nelly. I remember being much younger and singing this around the house. My mama always tells me how I used to love singing this song. The beat is super lit, and the chorus is very catchy. The lyrics are really nice and not as vulgar as the songs that were on the radio at that time. As Monique said, this is was then, still is now, and will always be, a BOP!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeZZr_p6vB8
My party song is "Swag Surfin" by F.L.Y. Whenever this song comes on you know the party is going to be extra lit. The instrumentation is nice, at the beginning it sounds like trumpets and it continues throughout the song, and when the beat drops is when you start to dance. Everybody lines up and links together and it just continues to get hype from there. I love this song because its like no matter how old the song is, it continues to get people hype every time it comes on. The energy shifts as soon as it comes on, it never fails.

"Cut Her Off' by K Camp gets a party lit every time your girl has been getting on your nerves. The lyrics are real, its something every man has felt about his girl when she's been being annoying and getting on his nerves. Sometimes I listen to it when ole girl being irritating. The beat is nice and doesn't do too much, but its just right. This song is guaranteed to get a party lit mainly because it can apply to not only relationships but also friendships. K Camp makes nothing short a banger in my personal opinion.

ReplyDeleteThe party song that I chose is China Anne McClain - Calling All The Monsters. This song would most likely be played at a little kids Halloween party. This song is upbeat and the lyrics are sassy. The beat has a lot of bass and can make you want to dance very easily. After the first eight count the beat drops and that's when the song really starts. The beat has a little bit of an electronic feel as well.

"Treasure" by Bruno Mars is the party song that I am choosing to write about. I LOVE this song because its gets the party hype each and every time. The whole vibe the song gives off is one that has you happy and almost carefree, which is a feeling much of Bruno Mars' music gives off. When listening to his music, I can't help but want to dance and that feeling is why I love listening to his music.

THis week I will be writing about the song "Zero," by Chris Brown. I first heard this song one day when Makaylia was listening to it in Mr. Williams' room one day. The song hooked me in the beginning when the bass started and then the beat dropped and pulled me in further. The lyrics are catchy and makes you feel really good. I love listening to Chris Brown because he makes good music, and has for a majority of his career. All the songs on that album were good and if you haven't listened to it you should.

I will be writing about "Should've Been There" by Sevyn Street featuring B.o.B.. I like this song because its perfect for a party because of the beat and the feel it gives you. The lyrics flow well and blend very well with the music. The song is one of those where when you listen to it, you can't help but feel as if you're in a music video. When B.o.B. comes in with his part his lyricism is wonderful and some of his metaphors and puns are clever.

This week for the blog post I will be writing about "Love Galore" by the recently popular SZA. This song as a party would just have everyone vibing and slow dancing. There would be couples slow dancing and probably singing the lyrics to each other. Actually, everyone would probably be singing the song, because it's just that popular. I honestly would not be surprised if they played this song at Formal and/or Prom.

ReplyDeleteA party song that you can dance to is " Dilemma" by Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland. This is a throwback song so it will be nice to sing along with. Also, maybe some couples will slow dance together with this song. Since this song is a throwback I believe that everyone would mostly be singing along with the song. This is actually one of my favorite songs to hear at a party.

My favorite party song is the "Bunny Hop". When this song comes on I immediately run to the dance floor. Since I am not the best free-style dancer, song with dance routines are typically favored by me. People of all ages know this dance and most even know the lyrics, including me. My favorite part of the song is the running or fast part.

Whenever i am at a party and this song is played people get up and start dancing to it. This song brings a good beat that makes people want to dance to it. Even though this song is old it is still a popular song. Alot of people know the song and the dance. Even the part 2 of the song would be a good song to play at a party.

ReplyDeleteI feel like the song “All the Way Up” would be appropriate for a party. It is performed by Fat Joe, Remy Ma, and French Montana. I selected this song, because it is up-beat and catchy. My favorite parts out of this song would most likely be the chorus and Remy Ma’s rap part. A lot of parties have played this song, mainly cause of the fact that it is a good song that everyone knows or at least has heard of.

The party song i've chosen is "Bootylicious" by Destiny's child. This song is such a classic and for good reason. It is so fun to dance to. It has a good beat and the lyrics are catchy. It has a slightly 90's sound even though it was released in 2001. The 90's sound didnt really fade out untill about 2005. Then the artists of the 2000's created their own style. However that style wouldnt exist without songs like this. Bootylicious will always be one of my favorites.

The song I've chosen is "Misfortune Seller Girl," covered in English by "zoozbuh." I find this song eerie and odd, but also upbeat; perfect for a Halloween party. The very beginning of the song makes me think of haunted houses, and during the chorus, I picture zombies and vampires dancing together. I really like the melody of this song, and the beat makes me want to move and dance. This song is really creepy and fun in my opinion, and ideal for a Halloween party.

The song I've chosen is "Wobble" by V.I.C. The songs' dance is easy to follow and is overall something that everyone can enjoy. It can be played at any party no matter the theme, and is a song that will be on repeat in your head.

The song I chose was "Before I Let Go" by Frankie Beverly and MAZE. The song is known well during parties. The parties I have attended play this song last because the whole family or group could get together and all dance but it also signals to people that the party is over.If this song is not played while you are at a party, then GET OUT. Every time I hear this song it makes me want to get up and dance but also sing along with it. This song may be old be all age groups could get together and have a fun time off of this song.

I heard this song at a party once and just fell in love. The song is actually a remix but the cover is by this girl named Sydney Renae called "How you gonna". In this song she is really just singing her heart out and you can feel her emotion behind every note. I would not say this a dance all night song, however if you wanted to just vibe and relax this is really it. The lyrics are easy to follow and the song just flows really smoothly. You'll love it once you hear it.

ReplyDeleteWhen I read the topic of this blogpost, I instantly thought of the song "Shower" by Becky G. I once danced to this song at a party and I have loved it since I first heard it. This song is so upbeat and energetic that it makes you want to get up and dance no matter where you are! The music video makes listening to the song more enjoyable than it already is, when watching it. I normally listen to rap and r&b music so this pop song was something different for me. However, It bacame a song that I would keep on repeat and I still love this song till this day regardless of how old it is. This song definetly fits into "party themed" category and I think anyone who took the time to listen to this song would enjoy it as well.
